2020 – A Quick Look Back and Looking at Now

We are upon the end of 2020 and what a year it’s been. Corona since March, along with the rest of the world. Restrictions, masks, social distancing, canceled travel plans, no synagogue, zoom meetings in place of real ones. The world has changed in this way and our lives have all been affected in one way or another.  In the small yishuvim throughout Yehuda and Shomron, we don’t feel  too many changes.  Our medics and security teams are busy doing what they do….protecting us all and saving lives. There are plenty of accidents and terror attacks,  heart problems and babies being born. Our medics had to adapt to wearing masks, giving Corona tests, but they managed. They are used to challenges.

If looking from outside – it must seem normal here. Same old terror, same old enemies fighting us. Just last week the horrific killing of a 52-year-old-mother-of-six in the Shomron. The same day, a terrorist opened fire on our security guards in the Old City near the Temple Mount. Many instances of rock throwing every day, but especially last week. All the way north in the Shomron and throughout Yesha, all the way down in Kiryat Arba.

Here and there some happiness. One of our medics was called to deliver a baby, and thankfully he had his medical kit on hand. The joyous stories are few and far between. We relish them.

Our friends and supports have stood by us during this year and we thank each and every one of you. We appreciate your support more than you know.
