This past Saturday night, we joined with his family and friends to pay tribute to the life and legacy of a true hero of Israel, Ariel Wolfstell, z”l, who was killed fighting courageously in Gaza.
Ariel is the son of Wally Wolfstell, our Volunteer Coordinator for Gush Etzion.
The sombre event of poetry and dedication held at the “Victory Tent” in Jerusalem poetry included the distribution of two resuscitation kits dedicated in his memory given to his father and brother, and three defibrillators given to other Hatzalah volunteers from Gush Etzion.
Paramedic Eyal Zahavi spoke about the importance of Hatzalah of Judea and Samaria, our establishment by order of Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu zt”l for the residents of Judea and Samaria, and the advanced medical equipment that has been delivered to hundreds of our volunteers deployed in the field save lives.
Our Deputy Chairman Arie Levy spoke about the episode in the Biblical Amalek War that chooses the symbol of a lion – like the name Ariel – to fight bravely imbued with faith in the Creator.
We encourage everyone who can to find a time to visit the “Victory Tent” in central Jerusalem dedicated to our beloved IDF heroes, like Ariel, who have fallen who have fallen in this tragic war
