Yehuda and Shomron (“Yesha”) consists of approximately 150 Jewish communities @ 500,000 Jews. The geographic area is 2,180 square miles and is covered with limestone hills up to 3,000 feet. Communities sit along the hills and valleys. It is rugged terrain. The Arabs in the region number two million people in hundreds of villages and towns.
Before October 7, 2023, there were about 60 Jewish farms scattered throughout Yesha. These farms were a cluster of small buildings at the most…some of them were single families in a trailer. These brave families are pioneers seeking a quiet simple life.
Since October 7th, 100 new farms have been established. These farmers saw what happened when the hamas broke through the border fence in Gaza, and they seek to prevent similar attacks in Yesha.
The farmers realize by living on the outskirts of the main communities, the Arabs think twice about encroaching. And this method is working. The main Jewish communities are safer this way. These small farms are acting as security barriers. We want to help them.
Our project “YESHA Farms” has launched. We aim to: 1) distribute an Emergency Medical Kit & Defibrillator to each farm, and 2) train the farmers in first aid. No farm will be left alone
