On September 3, 2025, a private ceremony was held at Re’im Park, the site of the Nova Music Festival, now a memorial site. The evening was held to mark the donation of 50 emergency medical kits to Hatzalah Yehuda and Shomron. These kits were donated specifically for this project, in memory of those killed on Oct. 7th at the Nova Festival. Families of the victims attended the event.
Each kit honors an individual victim with their name and photo displayed on the bag and will be used by our first responders in life-saving efforts. This follows the distribution of 98 kits over the past year, bringing the total to 148 kits in active use.
This ceremony marks the latest stage in a national initiative led in cooperation between Hatzalah Yehuda and Shomron and Children of Light – The Organization of Families of the Murdered in the Nova Festival.
Over 200 people joined together in the makeshift auditorium on this special evening in the forest, which was complete with a stage, sound system and lighting, live music, and catered refreshments.
Arie Levy, Founder led the evening with a soulful kaddish prayer sung with musician accompaniment.
The families one by one came to the stage, together meeting the volunteer medic and in some cases, the donor. One French donor who is learning Hebrew spoke with powerful words: “On October 7th our enemies tried to wipe out lives and even names, names of your brothers and sisters, sons and daughters. Through this project, these medic bags, we keep their names alive.”
